This week, instead of a video, I am sharing an article I contributed to for a Seattle based parenting magazine, Parent Map. The article is also online and I added link below. It discusses the new reality that our kids are surrounded by screens and how we can adjust to make using them beneficial. For my piece, I spoke to how tech games for young children can help to learn pre-literacy skills when playing with an interactive adult. In the future, I will post a video with more information, but for now, the most important advice I can give is to interact with your young children, especially when they are using a device, that is how they learn new skills, like speech and language.
